Volkswagen anuncia que irá fabricar carro inédito no Brasil
Durante um evento realizado na manhã desta quinta-feira (29), a Volkswagen anunciou que irá produzir um carro inédito no Brasil. Chamado de New Urban Coupé, o modelo teve apenas um desenho do sketch revelado, mas já está confirmado para o País. A produção será na fábrica da Anchieta, em São Bernardo do Campo (SP).
Embora seja apenas um desenho inicial, os traços sugerem que pode se tratar de um novo SUV da montadora, já que alguns rumores apontam que um utilitário derivado do Polo está em desenvolvimento.
Investimentos
O COO mundial da marca, Ralf Brandstätter, e o presidente e CEO da Volkswagen América Latina, Pablo Di Si, também falaram sobre investimentos no País. Dos R$ 7 bilhões que serão investidos até 2020, R$ 5 bilhões serão direcionados para as fábricas do estado de São Paulo.

Ao todo, são três plantas paulistas: Anchieta, Taubaté e São Carlos. Em Vinhedo está também o Centro de Peças e Acessórios da marca.
